Major General Alan V. Rogers, USAF (Ret.), Advisory Board

General Rogers has had a very distinguished career serving in the United States Air force, leading in business, most recently as CEO, Command Information, Inc. and leading non-profit organizations.

Alan graduated from United States Air Force Academy. Following pilot training he flew 100 F-105 combat missions over North Vietnam. He earned an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School. Completed two tours on the Air Staff in the Pentagon in manpower and personnel. Commanded two Bomb Wings including the first operational B-1B wing at Dyess AFB, TX, which involved significant infrastructure preparations, selection of flight crew personnel, standing up the first training squadron and integrating the B-1B bomber into the operational Air Force.

Alan served as the Inspector General and the Director of Operations for Strategic Air Command in Omaha, NE. Served in NATO at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), Belgium, and was the Director for Operational Plans and Interoperability (J-7) on The Joint Staff working for General Colin Powell in the Pentagon. He is a Command Pilot with over 5,000 flying hours in fighters, bombers, tankers and trainers.

Following the Air Force, Alan had an active career in business beginning with commercial consulting with Gemini Consulting in North America and Europe. He led the Defense Consulting Practice for American Management Systems, Inc. and served as an Executive Vice President for CACI, Inc. leading both Federal and Defense Consulting practices. AS CEO of Command Information he orchestrated a “turn-around” and positioned the company for a very successful sale on behalf of the strategic investors: The Carlyle Group, Paladin Capital Group and Novak Biddle Venture Partners. His board level work has led him to be a designated as a Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Directors (NACD).

Throughout his career Alan has been very involved with non-profits. Presently chairing the Downtown Boulder Partnership Board which represents over 400 businesses. Eight years serving on the Board of Directors of USAFA Association of Graduates. Trustee and Governing Trustee on The Falcon Foundation, Director on Our Military Kids and founding Director on the Downtown Boulder Foundation.

He resides in Boulder, Colorado, with his wife, Linda Peterson Rogers, PhD.
