James Tagg, Advisory Board
James Tagg is an inventor and serial entrepreneur. He trained in physics and computer science at Manchester University and Engineering at Cambridge University. He is most famous for inventing the projected capacitive touchscreen which is now found in all smartphones. He made the first VoIP call on a mobile phone and is an inventor of the eSIM. In 2015 he published the book “Are the Androids Dreaming Yet?” which explores the difference between the human brain and computers. In 2017, he founded The Penrose Institute which studies the interface between quantum mechanics and general relativity and its implications for human consciousness. He is currently building digital beings and quantum computers inspired by the operation of the human brain.
